The oil and gas industry operates in some of the world’s most demanding environments, where electrical connections must continue to perform despite vibration, thermal cycling, corrosion and high fault currents. From offshore platforms and FPSOs to refineries, gas processing plants and storage terminals, electrical reliability is critical to both operational safety and plant availability.
Tranect designs and manufactures high-quality copper electrical connectors, flexible busbars, laminated shunts, braided earth straps and custom power distribution components for industrial power systems. Every product is manufactured in the UK to meet the specific mechanical and electrical requirements of each application.
Whether you require a single prototype or a production batch, our engineering team can develop a solution tailored to your installation.

Our products are used throughout electrical infrastructure supporting oil and gas facilities, including:
Effective earthing is fundamental to personnel safety and equipment protection.
Tranect manufactures copper braided earth straps and flexible bonding connectors for:
Where corrosion resistance is particularly important, such as offshore installations, coastal facilities and chemical processing environments, stainless steel braided earth bonds provide an excellent alternative.
For these applications, see our specialist range of Stainless Steel Earth Bonds available from our sister company:

These products combine excellent mechanical durability with improved corrosion resistance for harsh operating environments.
Electrical components used within oil and gas installations must continue operating in challenging conditions including:
We can supply components with:
Many data centre projects require specialist copper components designed around unique installation constraints or equipment requirements.
Our engineering team works closely with contractors, panel builders, switchgear manufacturers and end users to develop bespoke solutions including:
Using in-house manufacturing capabilities, we can support projects from initial design through to production.
Earth bonds compliant with Norwegian petroleum industry NORSOK standard M-503 and Transport Canada TP 127E – Ships Electrical Standards section 4.4 comprise a stainless steel shoe brazed or soldered to a 16 sq mm cable. The cable can be either single or double insulated. We have the equipment and expertise to manufacture these to your requirements and we are an approved supplier of these bonds to Baker Hughes and Akers.
