Tranect Ltd can manufacture and supply heavy duty traction power supply cable harnesses for high vibration environments using high integrity components. Power cables range from 25 mm² to 400 mm². Harnesses can also include muticore cables for control and instrumentation purposes.

Cable identity sleeves are applied to each cable assembly identifying part number, drawing number, job number and manufacturer, providing identity and traceability.

We can also supply gland plates, gland plate seals, high integrity glands and resilient cable clamps which are used widely in the rail industry. Applications range from traction motor harness assemblies to bogie and body earthing cables. We manufacture the complete range of BR cables types 9022236 and 889-4002, which are used throughout the UK rail network fleet.

We can supply all our heavy duty cable terminals pre-assembled as cable assemblies to whatever configuration is required. Heat shrink insulation sleeving can be applied over the crimp joint, to seal the connection and to provide insulation against flashing. The heat shrink sleeving can be clear, black, G/Y, Blue, Brown, as required.

Construction: Cable size from 10 mm² to 400 mm². Terminals are applied using our crimp tooling and 100% inspected using our “Go” gauges. The terminations are sealed using heat shrink sleeving unless otherwise specified.
