Our customer requested our assistance in the design and manufacture of flexible Busduct Busbars from 1600 amp MCCB to busduct.
There were two busduct feeds, which required horizontal busbars to link the busduct terminals.
The busduct was not lined up with the MCCB, a common issue on construction projects.
We designed MCCB spreader bars to align the vertical busbars with appropriate mounting points on the horizontal busbars.
The vertical busbars were specified as Erico Flexibar to provide flexibility in front to back and height alignment during fitting. Erico also provided horizontal busbar claps to take the weight of the busbars to avoid the risk of deformation in the aluminium busduct tabs.
The design of the busbars was carried out in AutoCad Inventor 3D CAD to facilitate visualisation of our proposed solution and was designed to reduce onsite installation time and equipment.
