There were two busduct feeds, which required horizontal busbars to link the busduct terminals. The busduct was not lined up with the MCCB, a common issue on construction projects. We were asked to design and manufacture spreader bars for a 1600 Amp MCCB to facilitate connection to a busduct. The design was optimised used 3D CAD modelling to provide a vertical connection from the busduct tabs to the MCCB. The picture shows the spreader bars prior to tin plating.
