The price of copper seems to be holding steady at £7kg while copper stocks drift back down under 300 kT. I don’t expect any significant changes until copper stocks drop below 200 kT which could take a few months at current conditions.

Over the last month the price of copper has eased from over £10/kg back to £9.51/kg, where it was in April. The price easing appears to have been caused by lower than expected demand which has resulted in LME bonded stock increasing from 118kT to 180kT. I expect the price of copper to drift lower...

The price of copper is stable as stocks stop falling. Too early to say of stock levels will recover and until they do the price of copper remains very volatile.
Bonded copper stocks have fallen below the symbolic 100kT level, last seen in January just before the £2/kg jump in copper price. For now the price of copper is stable and future contract prices remain below $10k/T but if copper stocks continue falling expect a sharp jump in the price of copper.
Price of copper steady at £5.06 / kg as LME bonded stocks recover to 155 kT, back to where they were in July. The increase in copper stocks should stabalise the future price of copper and copper futures are steady at £5.09 for 3 months.
